Gone Fishing

Hey Y’all!

Take a look at this beautiful fish that my niece, Alisha Davis, caught yesterday (May 15, 2026) in Charleston, SC.

She called me and was very excited about her catch, then she said, “I didn’t have the heart to keep it, so I released it.”

I said to myself, that would have been a tender mouthful for “Fish Fry Friday.” After all, yesterday was Friday.

It took my mind back to the last time, so many years ago, when I went on a fishing trip with my second oldest sister. She was like a second mama to me. God rest her soul.

We went fishing in a wooded area, and I was sitting on a log, enjoying the sun rays, without a single cloud overhead. Then, something inside me said, “Look into the log.” Guess what I saw? A slithery, scaly, cold-blooded serpent looking directly into my face!

Need I say, that was the last fishing trip for me?
I’m not partial to creepy-crawly critters (even though there was a time when I had a fascination with snakes). Go figure.🤓

Much love!❤️
God bless always!🙏🏾 Peace.✌🏾
